Jellyfish Keychain Pattern

 


Supplies 

3.5mm crochet hook

Red Heart SuperSaver Yarn

9mm safety eyes


The Pattern 

Body of Jellyfish 

Rd1: starting at the top of your jellyfish sc x 6 in a magic ring,  or ch x 2 and do 6sc in the second chain from your hook (6)

Rd2: inc x 6 (12)

Rd3: [sc, inc] 6 times (18)

Rd4: [sc x 2  inc] 6 times (24)

Rd5-7: sc x 24 (24)

Rd8: you will be placing the eyes in this round sc x 10,place your first safety eye in the last stitch you just did, sc x 4, place your second eye, sc x 10 (24)

Do not fasten the backs/washers. Do a few rounds then attach the backs.

Rd9: [sc x 10, dec] 2 times (22)

Rd10-12: sc x 22, attach the backs of the eyes, start stuffing your jellyfish  (22)

Rd13: do this round in your front loops ** [do this sequence all in next stitch sc, ch x 3, sc], skip stitch, repeat from ** 11 times around, fasten off (55)


Bottom of jellyfish 

Rd1-3: same as body of jellyfish 

Rd4: [sc x 3, inc] 4 times, fasten off (22)


Assembly

Sew the bottom of your jellyfish on, but before sewing it closed stuff your jellyfish firmly. Sew on eyebrows and a mouth. Then cut long pieces of yarn and add them on the bottoms. You can also create long chains and add them on the bottom. Then add your kechain on top.
